UNION began in August of 1997 with Bebo Bharwani, Eric Villadelgado and Darwin Deaño. They just came from a group called "Bulk" and wanted to form new band that would comform to what they wanted to play. Cary Uy joined the group late August and because the rhythm section was already complete, the band started rehearsing already. The only problem left was to find two singers, a male and a female. John Mark Kafoa was brought in from the island of Fiji and a month later, Eva Poon joined the band. Union's first gig happened in November and soon after the band played in other clubs too. Mr. Wyngard Tracy formally signed in the band in December of that year and Union became officially a part of the Artistation family.
